Wildr EcoSystem™

Know the ecological health of your land.

The Wildr EcoSystem™ from Plan it Wild is a land management system designed to inform, implement, and promote sustainable landscaping practices that contribute to climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and personal and community well-being.

Wildr is based on science, yields a score that reflects the current ecological health of your land, and lists a set of expert recommendations to increase your score, which will increase the vitality of your land.

“The Wildr system is a game-changer; this is the guidance we need to restore biodiversity and all its environmental benefits one piece of land at a time.”

Doug Tallamy Best selling author, pioneering scientist on rewilding American yards, and founder of Homegrown National Park

The above is an illustration only. A score or rating system will make it easy for landowners to know the ecological value of their land.

We move what we measure.

Let’s measure the impact of our actions on our land. We are thrilled to be piloting a science project to develop a system that will measure the ecological impact of rewilding your yard. The more we understand the impact and opportunity residing in our piece of earth, the more we are empowered to take action and bring back nature.

Goal:

Build a measurement system to enable landowners to understand the environmental impact of rewilding their property. Ultimately, our goal is to allow anyone, anywhere to participate and to aggregate and share that data for inspiration and collective action.

Methodology:

The pilot phase will begin in Westchester, NY and Fairfield, CT (Ecoregion 59C). In this phase, we will be measuring the change in biodiversity before and after the installation of a variety of a set of pre designed “Terra-Patches”. A score or rating will be generated that takes into account the biodiversity found at the site.
